Occupational Therapist

School Year 2026-2027 Location: K-12, Location: TBD

Performance Responsibilities/Duties:

Experience providing direct (individual and group) and indirect (consult) services related to fine motor skills and sensory needs.
Experience with feeding and oral-motor programs.
Experience with a variety of assistive technology and positioning equipment (i.e., sitting/standing equipment, special feeding equipment, writing utensils, AAC etc.).
Preferred experience with sensory motor integration strategies.
Knowledge or experience with data collection related to occupational therapy goals.
Experience working with students with a range of disabilities including autism and intellectual disabilities.
Ability to observe a student engaging in an activity and provide strategies to facilitate the student's full participation.
Reduce barriers that limit student participation within the school environment.
Utilize assistive technology to support student success.
Develop benchmarks and annual goals to be part of the IEP and completed progress monitoring and reporting.
Complete necessary documentation for Medicaid Cost Recovery.
Excellent interpersonal and collaborative skills.

Qualifications:

Applicants must meet State of Delaware license requirements as an Occupational Therapist as determined by the Board of Occupational Therapy Practice.

Prior experience working in a school system
Ability to work well on a team
Ability to prioritize an organized schedule
