Clinical Nurse Women's Assessment Center

BJC HealthCare seeks a Clinical Nurse for our Women's Assessment Center, specializing in OB triage. In this fast-paced setting, you will assess and monitor pregnant patients, perform fetal and maternal assessments, administer medications, and coordinate care with obstetricians and the multidisciplinary team. You'll educate patients and families, support safe birth outcomes, and uphold evidence-based nursing practice in a mission-driven, collaborative environment that values learning, inclusion, and work-life balance. Responsibilities Perform comprehensive OB triage and women's health assessments for presenting patients Monitor fetal heart tones and maternal status, escalating changes promptly Administer medications and treatments per provider orders and protocols Document assessments, interventions, and outcomes in the EHR accurately and timely Educate patients and families on conditions, plan of care, and discharge instructions Collaborate with obstetricians, midwives, and interdisciplinary team members for coordinated care Implement and maintain infection prevention and patient safety practices Respond to obstetric emergencies following unit and system protocols Support continuous quality improvement and evidence-based practice initiatives Precept or mentor new staff and contribute to a collaborative, inclusive team culture Required Skills OB triage assessment Fetal monitoring Maternal vital sign assessment Medication administration Electronic health record documentation Patient and family education Emergency response in obstetrics Care coordination Infection control Evidence-based nursing practice #J-18808-Ljbffr BJC HealthCare
