About the Role
The Company is seeking an Associate Vice President for University Communications. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading and managing the strategic direction of the university's communication efforts. This includes overseeing the development and implementation of communication plans that promote and protect the university's reputation, as well as fostering strong relationships with the media, government, and the community. The role also involves providing counsel to senior leadership on communication matters, crisis communication management, and ensuring that all messaging is consistent with the university's mission and values. Applicants for the Associate Vice President for University Communications role at the company should have a proven track record in a senior communication position, preferably within a complex academic or research-oriented environment. A deep understanding of the higher education sector and the ability to navigate its unique challenges is essential. The ideal candidate will be a strategic thinker, an effective leader, and a team player with excellent interpersonal and communication skills. A master's degree in a related field is often required, and a Ph.D. is a plus.
