Clinical Lab Lead Technologist, Pathology/Chemistry & Immunology

The Department of Clinical Laboratories at SUNY Downstate Health Sciences University is seeking a full-time Clinical Laboratory Technologist II / Lead Technologist. The successful candidate will:
- Perform clinical laboratory procedures and examinations, as well as tests or procedures conducted by the Chemistry and Hematology Laboratories.
- Serve as the Lead Tech, providing guidance and oversight to laboratory team members.
- Ensure compliance with all departmental, hospital, and governmental regulations.
- Train personnel on technical methodologies and the interpretation of results.
- Maintain laboratory inventory and manage statistical records.
- Facilitate a smooth workflow by assigning appropriate staff to tasks.
- Assist with coordinating administrative operations for the laboratory.
- Perform other duties and responsibilities as needed or as business need demands.
