That’s where you come in. **What You’ll Do:** We are seeking an exceptional Technical Program Manager (TPM) to drive Capital One’s AI and ML platforms at the heart of the company’s real-time information strategy. We work at the intersection of generative AI research and enterprise-scale systems, and our technologies span the AI and ML training and production lifecycle end-to-end, including agentic AI architectures; multi-agent conversational systems; LLM inference; ML model training, fine-tuning and monitoring; and much more. You will collaborate closely with world-class researchers, engineers, business leaders and cross-functional stakeholders to take AI initiatives from concept to production, delivering high-reliability, real-time delightful experiences for our customers across all our lines of business (credit card, retail banking, auto finance, etc.) In addition to the technical program, you will also work to pave the way for an expanding TPM discipline within the team, by leveraging your industry knowledge and experience to show the organization what a great TPM can achieve. Our TPM Sr. Directors have:* Strong technical backgrounds (ideally building highly scalable platforms, products, or services) with the ability to proactively identify and mitigate technical risks throughout delivery life-cycle* Led technology focused discussions with senior leadership by providing valuable insights and recommendations that guide technology-based decisions* Exceptional communication and collaboration skills* Excellent problem solving and influencing skills* A quantitative approach to problem solving and a collaborative implementer to holistic solutions; a systems thinker* Experience helping grow and mentor fellow TPMs, while also building the foundations for the TPM practice* Ability to simplify the technically complex and drive well-educated decisions across product, engineering, design, and data science representatives* Deep focus on execution, follow-through, accountability, and results* Exceptional cross-team collaboration; able to work across different functions, organizations, and reporting boundaries to get the job done.* Highly tuned emotional intelligence, are good listeners, and possess deep-seated empathy for teams and partners**Basic Qualifications:*** Bachelor's degree in a technical field* At least 9 years of experience managing technical programs**Preferred Qualifications:** • 9+ years of experience designing and building data-intensive solutions using distributed computing. • 5+ years of experience in building distributed systems & highly available services using cloud computing services / architecture.
