You may review, modify, or update your information by visiting and logging into the careers section of the system.Job Description:At Regions, the Senior Audit Director develops, directs, and monitors the internal audit activities for various areas of the bank in accordance with the Standards for the Professional Practice of Internal Auditing (SPPIA). This level is a manager of people providing leadership, coaching, development, and annual performance review to other Audit positions.Primary ResponsibilitiesContributes to the development of a risk-based approach for the annual audit planReviews engagement level risk assessment; adapts the risk profile for changes or new informationEnsures the scope of work meets the audit engagement objectivesReviews audit work performed to ensure audit objectives are metIdentifies process improvements for the business based on understanding and analysis of process flows/operationsEnsures that proposals for improvements to internal controls are balanced with organizational objectives and capabilitiesReviews and approve auditor assessment that management actions have effectively resolved audit issuesPresents audit results to stakeholders in a professional and organized mannerServes as a key resource for industry intelligence to the audit teamTrusted advisor to senior management to solve issues identified in the internal audit engagementEffectively develop IA staff and ensure recognition and reward for those who exceed expectationsThis position is exempt from timekeeping requirements under the Fair Labor Standards Act and is not eligible for overtime pay.This position is incentive eligible.RequirementsBachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or related fieldTen (10) years experience in internal audit, external audit, banking, or risk management/compliance and three (3) years of experience in a managerial roleCertifications/LicensuresProfessional certifications in Certified Public Accountant (CPA), Certified Internal Auditor (CIA), Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA), Certified Financial Services Auditor (CFSA), Certified Regulatory Compliance Manager (CRCM), Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE), Certified Risk Professional (CRP), Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialist (CAMS), Certified Fiduciary and Investment Risk Specialist (CFIRS), Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), or Certified Bank Auditor (CBA)Skills and CompetenciesAbility to communicate complex ideas clearly and conciselyConsistently draft written communications requiring little or no editingEffectively edit written communications of othersServe as an expert in building consensusProficient at leveraging relationships/networkProficient at performance and talent management, including development of managers and senior managersThis Senior Director, Technology Audit role is a high-impact leadership position responsible for overseeing a broad technology audit portfolio within a regulated banking environment. The individual will lead a team of managers and auditors, provide assurance across areas such as cybersecurity, cloud, IT governance, and third-party risk, and partner closely with senior executives and regulators to help shape the bank's technology risk strategyPosition TypeFull timeCompensation DetailsPay ranges are job specific and are provided as a point-of-market reference for compensation decisions.
