About the role We are looking for a skilled Field Welder to join our team. This role involves installing, removing, and maintaining piers, boat lifts, and accessories using hand tools and machinery. You will play a key role in the construction, maintenance, and repair of marine structures, including welding steel and aluminum components. The work will take place in various weather conditions, requiring adaptability and a strong work ethic. What you'll do Assist in the construction, maintenance, and dismantling of docks, piers, and other marine structures. Load, unload, identify, and distribute building materials and equipment as needed for daily operations. Strong welding and fabrication skills. Ability to read and interpret blueprints. Knowledge of various welding techniques and equipment. Commitment to safety and attention to detail. Self-motivated and able to work independently or as part of a team. Operate heavy machinery including excavators, cranes, and loaders. Conduct routine inspections and maintenance of machinery to ensure safe and efficient operation. Load, unload, and distribute construction materials using heavy machinery. Follow safety procedures and guidelines to maintain a safe work environment. Assist in the preparation and site setup for construction projects. Perform precision tasks such as grading, trenching, and digging using heavy equipment. Collaborate with team members to complete projects on time and within specifications. Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Valid driver's license required. CDL A preferred. Proficient in operating heavy machinery. Previous experience welding steel and aluminum. Previous experience in a marine or construction environment is highly advantageous. Ability to swim and comfort working on or near water. Familiarity with hand tools, basic carpentry, and machinery. Working Conditions and Physical Efforts Work involves walking, talking, hearing, lifting, pushing, pulling and/or carrying up to 100 pounds occasionally in addition to using material handling equipment. May be required to stoop, bend, kneel, crouch or crawl. Vision abilities require close vision assessments. Moderately loud noise levels in the work environment. Steel toe boots are required.
