Contract Dates: August 17, 2026 - May 23, 2027 About the Role Our client is seeking a qualified School Psychologist to provide comprehensive psychological services that support students' academic, behavioral, social, and emotional success. The School Psychologist will work collaboratively with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams to ensure students receive appropriate services and support in accordance with federal and state regulations, professional standards, and district policies. Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive psychoeducational evaluations and assessments to support special education eligibility and service planning.
- Interpret assessment results and prepare detailed evaluation reports and documentation.
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings, eligibility determinations, individualized education program (IEP) meetings, and manifestation determination reviews.
- Support the development and implementation of academic, behavioral, and social-emotional interventions.
- Conduct Functional Behavioral Assessments (FBAs) and assist with the development of Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs).
- Provide consultation, counseling, behavioral support, and intervention services as appropriate.
- Collaborate with teachers, administrators, related service providers, and families to support student achievement and well-being.
- Ensure compliance with IDEA, Section 504, and other applicable special education laws and regulations.
- Assist with crisis prevention, intervention, and response efforts within school settings.
- Coordinate with community agencies and external service providers to support student needs.
- Maintain accurate and timely records, reports, service logs, and other required documentation.
- Complete required service documentation and reporting in accordance with organizational policies and procedures.
- Apply current research, professional standards, and best practices to service delivery and decision-making.
- Provide guidance, mentorship, or supervision to interns, practicum students, paraprofessionals, or other assigned personnel.
- Communicate effectively with students, families, staff, and community stakeholders.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
- Master's, Educational Specialist (Ed.S.), or Doctoral degree in School Psychology from an accredited program.
- Current School Psychologist license, certification, or credential, or eligibility to obtain required credentials before assignment.
- Knowledge of special education laws, regulations, assessment practices, and evaluation procedures.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to collaborate effectively within multidisciplinary teams.
- Previous experience providing psychological services in a school-based setting.
- Experience conducting special education evaluations and participating in the IEP process.
- Knowledge of behavioral intervention strategies, FBAs, and BIPs.
- Experience supporting crisis intervention and response efforts.
- Familiarity with educational documentation and compliance requirements.
