Receiving Associate Location: Post Falls, ID - On-site Department: Warehouse Employment Type: Temp-to-Hire Schedule: Monday - Thursday 7:30 am - 5:00 pm, Friday 8:00 am - 12:00 pm Pay: $18-$19 per hour to start

Job Summary

As a Receiving Associate at Selkirk Sport, you will play a critical role in keeping our warehouse and fulfillment operations running smoothly. You will be responsible for accurately receiving, inspecting, and organizing incoming materials, components, and finished goods to ensure our inventory records remain precise and reliable.

Working in a collaborative team environment, you will support the flow of materials between receiving, inventory, production, and fulfillment. We are looking for an efficient team player who thrives in a fast-paced environment, communicates well with colleagues, and takes pride in delivering precise results under daily deadlines.

What You'll Do

• Receive incoming shipments, verify physical piece counts, and confirm SKU accuracy against purchase orders and packing slips.
• Inspect incoming materials for damage, defects, or inconsistencies, reporting any issues immediately to management.
• Log all received items accurately into digital inventory management systems to maintain record integrity.
• Execute regular cycle counts and inventory audits to keep physical stock aligned with system data.
• Label, sort, and store incoming materials according to established protocols for easy retrieval.
• Prepare internal stock transfers or assist with outgoing shipments as assigned to meet fulfillment schedules.
• Perform quality checks on products before transitioning them to storage or production.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse space, strictly following all safety regulations and equipment guidelines.

What We're Looking For

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Exceptional attention to detail, accuracy, and organizational capabilities.
• Basic computer proficiency for digital record-keeping and inventory data entry.
• Valid driver's license.
• Ability to routinely lift and maneuver items weighing up to 50 lbs, with or without reasonable accommodation.
• Willingness to learn and operate warehouse equipment, such as pallet jacks and forklifts.

A Plus, But Not Required

• Previous experience in a warehouse, receiving, shipping, or production environment.
• Prior experience operating forklifts or holding a forklift certification.
• Familiarity using digital inventory management tools or ERP systems.

• Safety Awareness: Prioritizing safe work practices and keeping the warehouse free of hazards at all times.

Growth and Direct Hire

This is a temp-to-hire opportunity. The selected candidate will begin employment through Express Employment Professionals for approximately 90 days. Following successful completion of the introductory period, the employee may be considered for direct hire with Selkirk Sport based on performance, attendance, reliability, and business needs.

Benefits After Direct Hire

Selkirk Sport benefits become available after conversion to regular employment and are available the first of the month following date of hire.

Physical Requirements and Work Environment

• Movement: Active on-site role requiring the ability to stand or remain in a stationary position for extended periods, walk, reach, and bend throughout a shift, with or without reasonable accommodation.
• Lifting & Moving: Ability to regularly lift, carry, push, or pull items weighing up to 50 lbs (e.g., cartons, materials, or equipment using pallet jacks), with or without reasonable accommodation.
• Manual Dexterity & Vision: Frequent use of hands to handle products, label packages, and operate digital tools, alongside visual acuity to interpret labels and instructions.
• Work Environment: Active warehouse setting with exposure to noise, moving equipment, and temperature variations. Periodic local travel between facility sites may be required.
