Descripción del Puesto El/la Trabajador/a Social Escolar es responsable de apoyar el bienestar social, emocional y familiar de los estudiantes, facilitando intervenciones que promuevan su éxito académico y desarrollo integral. Este rol incluye la evaluación de necesidades, intervención directa y coordinación de servicios con familias y agencias externas. Responsabilidades Principales Evaluación y Servicios Directos Realizar evaluaciones psicosociales de estudiantes. Desarrollar planes de intervención individualizados. Brindar consejería individual y grupal según necesidad. Identificar factores de riesgo que afecten el desempeño académico. Intervención y Manejo de Casos Manejar casos relacionados con ausentismo, conducta, situaciones familiares y crisis. Coordinar intervenciones en situaciones de emergencia o crisis estudiantil. Dar seguimiento continuo a estudiantes en riesgo. Colaboración con Familias Mantener comunicación constante con padres o encargados. Orientar a familias sobre recursos disponibles. Facilitar reuniones y talleres educativos para padres. Coordinación de Servicios Referir casos a agencias externas cuando sea necesario. Colaborar con psicólogos, consejeros y otros profesionales. Asegurar cumplimiento con servicios relacionados a estudiantes de educación especial, de ser aplicable. Apoyo Institucional Colaborar con el equipo escolar en estrategias de manejo de conducta. Participar en comités escolares y reuniones multidisciplinarias. Apoyar iniciativas de clima escolar positivo. Documentación y Cumplimiento Mantener expedientes actualizados y confidenciales. Preparar informes y documentación requerida. Cumplir con leyes y regulaciones aplicables en servicios sociales y educativos. Desarrollo Profesional Participar en capacitaciones y talleres. Mantenerse actualizado en mejores prácticas de trabajo social escolar. Contribuir al desarrollo de políticas y procesos internos. Cualificaciones y Requisitos Experiencia: Mínimo 2 años en trabajo social escolar o comunitario. Manejo de Casos: Experiencia en intervención con estudiantes y familias. Conocimiento Legal: Familiaridad con leyes de protección de menores y educación. Habilidades Interpersonales: Comunicación efectiva y manejo de situaciones sensibles. Trabajo en Equipo: Capacidad de colaborar con múltiples profesionales. Requisitos Académicos y de Certificación Grado Académico: Maestría en Trabajo Social (MSW) preferida o Bachillerato en Trabajo Social. Licencia Profesional: Licencia vigente para ejercer trabajo social en Puerto Rico. Certificación en CPR/Primeros Auxilios: Deseable. Desarrollo Profesional Continuo: Compromiso con educación continua. Salario y Beneficios Salario: $3,000 mensual. Beneficios: Plan Médico: aportación patronal de $100.00.
