Learn more at Job Summary The Bench/Traveling Director of Patient Transport and Observation supports the management of finances, client relations, patient satisfaction, quality standards, performance improvement, and productivity. This role oversees the planning, organization, direction, and control of Patient Transportation and hospital activities. The position requires hospitality or logistics management experience and will travel to support operations at hospitals across the United States. Key Responsibilities Responsible for the accuracy and timeliness of financial data and statistics Travels to various accounts providing support Develops and recommends department operating budget Coordinates transportation activities and services with other hospital departments Maintains records and statistics for administrative and regulatory purposes Plans, organizes, directs, coordinates, and supervises functions and activities of the department Establishes work standards and work flow Establishes and implements policies and procedures for departmental operations Demonstrates good communication skills with clients Ensures compliance with all regulatory agencies Proactive in the achievement of the facility goals and objectives Shows strength with financial and patient transport software (internal software are TeamChimes, and TeamTransport) Manages patient transportation add‑on services such as patient observation, lift, courier, valet or shuttle, where applicable Preferred Qualifications Four‑year college degree or equal related experience required Must be willing and able to travel throughout an assigned region as needed Ability to analyze and interpret financial and other data General intuition for business Excellent interpersonal skills; service/quality demeanor Ability to plan, organize, and achieve effective time management Ability to work under pressure and meet established goals and objectives High customer service and quality attitude Benefits Medical Dental Vision Life Insurance / AD Disability Insurance Retirement Plan Flexible Time Off Holiday Time Off (varies by site/state) Associate Shopping Program Health and Wellness Programs Discount Marketplace Identity Theft Protection Pet Insurance Commuter Benefits Employee Assistance Program Flexible Spending Accounts (FSAs) Paid Parental Leave Personal Leave Associates may also be eligible for paid and/or unpaid time off benefits in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local laws.
