This position will be required to work out of our New Castle, DE warehouse; this is not a remote role.

Job Description: 

Candidate must be very organized as they will be responsible for coordinating carrier schedules for pickup and delivery. The candidate must have strong communication skills, both written and verbal, and have strong computer literacy. In addition to standard applications such as, (Outlook, excel, word), they will be trained to use a Warehouse Management Application. This system is used to generate shipping paperwork and labels.

A warehouse clerk manages daily warehouse tasks, focusing on receiving, scheduling carriers, and processing paperwork for shipping goods. The clerk uses computer systems for tracking inventory, matching orders, and ensuring accuracy and safety. The role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and strong communication skills in a fast-paced environment. They are crucial for keeping warehouse operations smooth, from handling incoming deliveries to preparing outgoing shipments, and often work with other staff and carriers.

Key Responsibilities:

• Scheduling/Routing: scheduling orders for carrier pickup.
• Receiving & Stocking: Checking in drivers and directing them to appropriate door for receiving. Checking in items through Warehouse Management System.
• Order Fulfillment: Waving orders in preparation for picking. Generate shipping paperwork such as BOL's, Labels, and Pack Slips.
• Inventory Management: Using software to track stock, record counts, and report discrepancies (damage, loss).
• Administrative Tasks: Matching purchase orders to sales, maintaining records, uplod/filing shipping paperwork and communicating with carriers.
• Safety & Maintenance: Following safety protocols, keeping the area clean, and ensuring equipment works.

Essential Skills:

• Organization & Detail: Keeping track of numerous items accurately.
• Communication: Working well with supervisors team members, and drivers.
• Physical Stamina: Able to lift and move items.
• Computer Literacy: Using order fulfillment and inventory software, Microsoft Office and RF scanners.

Typical Requirements:

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Some experience is often preferred, potentially with forklifts.
