Receptionist

The Receptionist provides administrative support and performs clerical, customer service, and non-technical duties within assigned practices or departments. This role serves as a key point of contact for patients, staff, and external partners.

Reports To Office Manager, Supervisor, or Department Director

Education High School Diploma or equivalent (preferred) Associate's Degree (preferred)

Required Skills Strong critical thinking and decision-making abilities Ability to work independently with minimal supervision Ability to function effectively in a fast-paced, sometimes stressful environment Strong communication and organizational skills Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information

Essential Functions Prepare statistical reports and perform clerical duties such as Managing incoming/outgoing mail Maintaining filing systems and databases Typing correspondence and documents Copying, scanning, and faxing Greet visitors and communicate with patients, providers, and departments Answer, direct, and manage phone calls and messages Organize, coordinate, and schedule meetings and appointments Maintain a clean and organized office environment; monitor and order supplies Respond to information requests and inquiries Coordinate workflow and maintain records of office activities Perform basic accounting functions such as Processing invoices Making deposits Managing petty cash (if applicable)

Non-Essential Functions Perform other duties as assigned Participate in staff meetings, in-services, and committees Adhere to hospital policies and procedures Work scheduled shifts, including overtime if required Accept call schedules as directed Maintain a professional appearance in accordance with dress code

Work Environment & Demands Serves both internal staff and external customers, clients, and contractors Regular access to sensitive and confidential information Requires the ability to work under pressure and respond appropriately
