Keeps manager informed on status of initiatives, issues, schedules that impact the success of the location. Provides direction to the management team and employees to ensure accomplishment of location objectives and goals. Assists General Manager in recruiting, hiring, promoting, training and terminating employees. Assists in preparation of the location budget preparation, operating costs, and annual reporting of the operation. Monitors sales invoices and margins and approve accounts payable when assigned. Recommends and creates operating policies and procedures as required Assist with inventory and expense control. Assist with a total loss prevention program including security, safety and maintenance of equipment, vehicles and property. Supervises assigned employees including staff selection and training; planning, assigning and directing work; conducting performance reviews; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems. Understands and observes all safety procedures and practices and ensures that employees observe all safety procedures and practices in order to prevent injuries or damage; schedules periodic safety meetings and solicits recommended changes to improve safety procedures. Other duties may be assigned.Supervisory Responsibilities: Assists with supervising staff and providing general direction to the management team in the absence of the General Manager.
