Design Project Manager

Job Description A large automotive client is seeking a Design Project Manager to lead end-to-end design and engineering efforts for infrastructure and construction projects across the U.S. (primarily LA area). This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, high-impact environment and can drive complex projects from concept through construction. Key Responsibilities Lead full project lifecycle: concept -> design -> construction -> closeout Manage and coordinate design deliverables (30%, 60%, 90%, IFC, etc.) Design and optimize complex systems (MEP-inclusive) for efficiency and scalability Conduct feasibility studies & due diligence (utilities, site surveys, codes, capacity) Partner cross-functionally with teams including Construction, Facilities, IT, EHS, and Estimating Translate stakeholder needs into clear project scopes, schedules, and deliverables Define project delivery strategies and permit/construction documentation Drive innovative, high-quality design execution under aggressive timelines Manage consultants/vendors (RFPs, onboarding, performance oversight) Support BIM-driven design coordination and lean construction practices Pay Range for this role is $72 - $80 per hour depending on years of experience and education.
