Implementation Consultant

Location: Remote - US
Duration: 6 month contract
Pay: $50/hr


About the Role


As an Implementation Consultant, you will guide new customers through the setup and adoption of a CRM platform. You will manage configuration, data migration, integrations, and administrator training to deliver tailored implementations that support long-term customer success.


What You'll Do

• Own customer onboarding projects from kickoff through administrator training, managing timelines, deliverables, risks, and customer communication.
• Configure and customize the CRM platform based on client workflows, team structures, permissions, lead flows, inboxes, and phone systems.
• Facilitate data migrations, imports, exports, and integrations with third-party technology platforms.
• Map and document system workflows, including how platforms and integrations connect.
• Train administrators and power users on system setup, features, and best practices.
• Partner with Sales, Product, Customer Success, Support, and Engineering to ensure effective handoffs and issue resolution.
• Follow established implementation playbooks and contribute to templates, checklists, and automation that improve efficiency and quality.
• Diagnose and resolve technical issues during implementation, escalating when necessary.
• Gather and document client goals and feedback to support product and process improvements.
• Provide detailed handoffs to Sales and Customer Success, including configuration decisions, project status, open risks, and next steps.


Who You Are


You are a tech-savvy, project-driven onboarding specialist who guides new customers from initial setup through confident platform adoption. You can scope implementation work, sequence milestones, and lead structured customer calls that keep teams aligned on timelines, responsibilities, and deliverables.


You quickly develop strong platform expertise and translate technical configurations into clear, actionable guidance. You build trust through thoughtful discovery, clear documentation, and consistent follow-through, with a focus on scalable solutions and measurable onboarding outcomes.


Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in SaaS implementation, technical account management, or consulting, ideally supporting CRM or other customer-facing platforms.
• Strong knowledge of CRM systems and how customers use them to manage business operations.
• Excellent project management skills, including the ability to manage multiple client projects, maintain timelines, and communicate status and risks.
• Familiarity with APIs, integrations, data imports and exports, data mapping, and basic data cleanup using CSV or Excel.
• Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to nontechnical users and executive stakeholders.
• Customer-first approach with strong empathy, patience, problem-solving skills, and calm communication in escalated situations.
• Familiarity with workflow automation tools, industry-specific technology platforms, and third-party CRM integrations is a plus.
