Job Purpose Position reports to the Warehouse Manager. Supervise warehouse operations as required and communicate transitional information from night shift to day shift. Manage staff, handle performance reviews, and oversee computer entry work and paperwork flow. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Assign work assignments for all 2nd shift warehouse staffing, ensuring customer specifications and delivery schedules are met. Oversee the loading of inbound/outbound freight according to customer specifications. Supervise local, regional, and OTR drivers; communicate updates and workflow changes. Review deliveries for poor packing and material conditions. Alert Customer Service Rep, Warehouse Manager, and COO of any problems with clear information or pictures. Oversee and assign processing of shipment paperwork, including scanning of BOLs. Ensure all shipments are recorded and verified, checking accuracy against paperwork. Monitor quality and accuracy of shipments per customer specifications. Ensure staff meet customer requirements and are trained on changes. Update the Tee Card board and TMW system. Communicate with customers and respond to inquiries, implementing required actions. Communicate via e‑mail prior to end of shift to ensure smooth transition of workflow and issues. Ensure safety, training, and development of employees, drivers, and contractors per OSHA and RJW policies. Oversee completion of all computer data entry, checking for accuracy and efficiency. Maintain and approve shift employee timesheets for weekly payroll, making corrections as needed. Monitor overtime hours to meet department requirements. Complete daily building checks, notifying Warehouse Director of equipment or maintenance issues. Ensure warehouse employees adhere to all AIB processes, procedures, and guidelines and have AIB training. Assure all checklists for building, equipment, and safety are completed per SOP or Policy; issue corrective actions or work orders as needed. Handle accident reporting, care of injured employee, and notify HR and management of emergencies. Perform assigned tasks or other duties as instructed by Warehouse Manager or COO. Qualifications Minimum 3+ years warehouse supervisory/managerial experience. Effective written and oral English communication. Dispatch and dock supervision experience. Familiarity with Smart Turn or TMW software (a plus). Experience in warehouse management and LTL dispatch. Knowledge of DOT regulations and requirements. Education and/or Experience Required Minimum of high school diploma or GED equivalent. Some college preferred. Physical Demands Occasional lifting or moving up to 50 pounds. Use phone system with keyboards and buttons. Articulate and comfortable speaking in front of others. Work in indoor/warehouse environment; sit, stand, walk, bend, lift, kneel during shift. Talk, hear, and communicate to customers or employees. Work in excess of continuous 8 hours when required. Read and discern visual images on media with 20/20 corrected vision. Hear speech out of both ears in normal range 30 dB at 500-2000 Hz. Speak and communicate clearly over phones. In sound physical health as determined by a certified licensed physician with no controlled‑substance use. Work Environment The employee is occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts, fumes or airborne particles. Noise level ranges from quiet to moderately loud.
