Positions Available: Accounting Manager & Senior Accounting Manager

Compensation: $100k–$150k Base Salary Based on Experience

Location: Remote – Northeast U.S. | Hybrid Options Available

We're hiring experienced Accounting Managers and Senior Accounting Managers to join the growing Client Accounting & Advisory Services team of an established regional CPA and advisory firm.

With over 50 years of experience, our firm provides a broad range of accounting, tax, assurance, and advisory services to privately held businesses, nonprofit organizations, and other commercial clients. We're seeking experienced public accounting professionals with a strong background in client accounting, financial reporting, and managing multiple client engagements. This role offers a combination of hands-on accounting oversight, client advisory, and team leadership. You'll work directly with business owners, executives, and nonprofit leadership while managing a portfolio of clients and overseeing their ongoing accounting and financial reporting needs.

Candidates will be considered at either the Accounting Manager or Senior Accounting Manager level based on their experience, technical background, and leadership capabilities.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage multiple client engagements, including privately held businesses and nonprofit organizations.
• Oversee financial reporting, month-end/year-end close, general ledger reviews, reconciliations, and financial statement preparation.
• Serve as a primary client contact, providing financial analysis, budgeting, forecasting, cash flow management, and advisory support.
• Review accounting work, ensure GAAP compliance, and maintain strong internal controls.
• Coordinate client audits, tax filings, and other financial reporting requirements.
• Supervise, mentor, and develop accounting staff while ensuring quality and timely delivery of client services.
• Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes, reporting, and client operations.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of public accounting experience required , preferably within Client Accounting Services (CAS), outsourced accounting, or accounting advisory.
• Experience managing multiple client engagements simultaneously required.
• Nonprofit accounting experience strongly preferred.
• Strong technical accounting background, including GAAP, financial reporting, general ledger accounting, and month-end close.
• Previous experience supervising or managing accounting professionals.
• Experience with budgeting, forecasting, financial analysis, and client advisory services.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting required; CPA designation is a plus.
• Proficiency with QuickBooks Online, Sage Intacct, NetSuite, or similar accounting platforms, along with strong Excel skills.
