Role Overview: Valuations Analyst

Initio Sphere is seeking finance professionals with strong valuation expertise to join the platform as Certified Valuations Analysts .

This is not a traditional employment role . Analysts operate as independent contractors and are activated through our certification and verification process.

Once approved, Valuations Analysts:

• Are promoted within the Initio Sphere platform

• Gain access to live deal flow requiring valuation analysis

• Support investors, fund managers, and operators with independent valuation work

• Build a verified valuation and transaction track record

• Earn an Analyst Rating Score tied to performance and quality

Certification tiers:
Senior Valuations Analyst · Lead Valuations Analyst · Valuations Analyst / Associate

Analyst Levels & Pay RangesSenior Valuations Analyst

Rating Score: 90–100
Pay: $150–200/hour
Typical Background:
Former investment banking, valuation advisory, private equity, venture capital, transaction advisory, or senior consulting professionals with 5+ years of valuation and deal experience

Lead Valuations Analyst

Rating Score: 80–89
Pay: $100–150/hour
Typical Background:
Finance professionals with 3–5 years of valuation, modeling, or transaction experience

Valuations Analyst / Associate

Rating Score: 60–79
Pay: $50–100/hour
Typical Background:
Entry to mid-level analysts with strong valuation fundamentals and technical proficiency

What You’ll Do (Approval-Based)

Valuations Analysts are engaged only in valuation categories for which they have received approval. Typical work includes:

Valuation Analysis & Fair Value Support

• Discounted Cash Flow (DCF) analysis

• Comparable company and precedent transaction analysis

• Football field and valuation summary materials

• Fair value and transaction-related valuation support

• Purchase price allocation (PPA) and financial reporting support

• Scenario, sensitivity, and downside valuation analysis

Transaction & Investment Support

• Independent valuation support for acquisitions, exits, and capital raises

• Valuation inputs for investment committee and investor materials

• Review and challenge of assumptions used in operating and financial models

• Market, industry, and multiple benchmarking analysis

Analysts may only perform work in approved valuation categories.
Approvals are earned through assessment results and demonstrated performance—not tenure.

How Analysts Start Earning

1. Complete the Analyst Certification Assessment or approved Initio Sphere training

2. Receive category-specific approvals (Valuation, Fair Value, Transaction Support)

3. Get verified on the platform

4. Begin earning immediately through hourly valuation projects and live deal work

No cold applying. No unpaid “experience.”
Verified analysts are actively promoted to investors and deal sponsors.

Certification & Eligibility

To qualify, candidates must meet at least one of the following:

• Score ≥70% in at least one category of the Analyst Certification Assessment

• Complete Initio Sphere Financial Training

• Hold an active professional credential (CFA, CPA, Series 7, 63, 79, or equivalent)

Analyst Rating Score

Each analyst receives a 0–100 Analyst Rating Score , which determines:

• Platform visibility

• Approved valuation categories

• Recommended hourly rates

Scores are based on assessment results, credentials, valuation accuracy, and client feedback.

Compensation & Deal Terms

• Analysts operate as independent contractors , not employees

• Hourly rates vary by Rating Score and approval level

• Analysts may earn up to 10% of the first $100,000 in transaction fees

• Maximum deal-based earning: $2,500 per transaction

• Payments issued only after successful deal completion and fee collection

• Initio Sphere reserves the right to revoke approvals for quality or compliance issues

• Represent Initio Sphere in a regulated capacity

All work is limited to valuation, analytical, and transaction support functions and must comply with applicable securities laws.
