Summary

Read electrical schematics and diagrams to wire 12-volt DC safety, control, and auxiliary systems. Build electrical components and junction boxes. Test and run all functions during installation and test phases of the assembly process to ensure the highest quality machine is delivered to the customer.

Key Responsibilities

1. Make connections in electrical switches with various wires, electrical cables, and connectors.
2. Install and connect appropriate wiring to components in the platform.
3. Install and connect appropriate wiring for all lighting systems to include strobe lights, boom lights, basket lighting, chassis lighting, trailer lighting, camera systems and any customer requested lighting systems.
4. Fabricate and install brackets and mounting hardware to install any of the above accessories.
5. Be able to troubleshoot, fix, and document any problems that arise from the electrical part of the installation of any component.
6. Make sure this is done in accordance with drawings, Aspen Aerials' specifications and the specifications of the manufacturers' components. If any discrepancies exist, it is the electrical assembler's responsibility to report them to the Production Manager or management's representative.
7. Must complete daily timecards with appropriate time, job, and task numbers.
8. Must maintain the workplace and keep work area in a neat, clean, orderly, and well-kept manner.
9. Follow all safety procedures as outlined in Aspen Aerials Safety Manual.

Qualifications

1. General mechanical capability.
2. Must be able to read and comprehend engineering drawings.
3. Detail oriented and organized.
4. Must be comfortable working in and around large truck chassis; must be able to lift up to 75 lbs., climb ladders, and crawl under equipment.
5. Must possess a high school diploma or GED.
6. Must be able to perform functional tests.
7. Must be able to work independently and as part of a team.
8. Must be able to operate a wide variety of hand and power tools.
9. Must have good communication skills.
10. Must be able to work overtime as required.

Working Conditions

Factory environment, working on or around trucks and occasional outside work environment. Working conditions include crawling on, under and around trucks and mobile hydraulic equipment. Must be able to lift 75 lbs.
