Staff Accountant

Robert Half is looking to add an experienced staff accountant to our consulting team. Some responsibilities include preparing journal entries, monthly and year-end closings, bank reconciliation, AP and AR entries, payment processing, and general ledger reconciliation. Job Duties Include:

  • Manage investment reporting on a monthly and annual basis
  • Maintenance of accounts receivable codes in the financial system
  • Verify daily cash management functions
  • Perform account reconciliations
  • Process fund transfers as needed
  • Prepare and review journal entries
  • Audit consumables fees
  • Prepare and file unclaimed property for several states
  • Account Analysis
  • Any other ad hoc duties relating to cash management as needed
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance required
  • At least 2+ years of previous general ledger accounting experience required
  • Proficiency at Excel, including pivot tables and vlookups
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Ability to be self directed
  • Previous supervisory experience preferred
  • Ability to perform with a high level of accuracy
  • Previous experience with Banner and Workday preferred
  • History of excellent attendance
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • High level of accounts receivable understanding
