Quality Assurance Quality Control Inspector in Houston

Job Description Position Overview Our client is seeking an experienced Electrical QA/QC Specialist to support a confidential public works infrastructure upgrade in the United States. This role will be heavily site-based and focused on the verification, validation, and inspection of medium and high voltage electrical systems, including switchgear and protection controls. This position will support a leading OEM-led program and play a key role in ensuring all electrical installations meet project specifications, safety standards, and quality requirements. Key Responsibilities Perform on-site QA/QC inspections of electrical installations to ensure compliance with project specifications and engineering drawings Verify installation and commissioning of medium and high voltage systems, including switchgear and protection equipment Conduct field validation of equipment, wiring, and control systems Review and interpret technical documents, drawings, and specifications to confirm accuracy of installed work Identify non-conformances and support resolution in coordination with engineering and construction teams Document inspection findings and maintain accurate QA/QC records Support adherence to safety, regulatory, and quality standards across all electrical scopes Coordinate with project stakeholders to ensure timely execution of quality activities Required Qualifications Demonstrated experience in electrical QA/QC, inspection, or field engineering roles Strong background in medium and high voltage systems Experience working with switchgear (SF6/FS6 or equivalent) and electrical protection systems Ability to interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and standards Hands-on field experience in construction, infrastructure, or industrial environments Strong understanding of electrical safety practices and compliance requirements Qualifications Experience supporting OEM-led projects Background in power distribution, substations, or large-scale infrastructure upgrades Familiarity with commissioning and startup activities Prior experience working on public works or regulated projects #J-18808-Ljbffr Energy Jobline ZR
