Senior Accountant

*Staff Accountant*
*Hybrid Role in Philadelphia, PA*
*Description:*

* Review, process, and ensure timely payment of approved vendor invoices and employee expense reports.
* Prepare and post journal entries, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company accounting policies.
* Perform month-end and year-end close activities, including account reconciliations and variance analysis.
* Reconcile general ledger accounts and investigate discrepancies, resolving issues in a timely manner.
* Analyze financial data and account activity to identify trends, anomalies, and opportunities for improvement.
* Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and supporting schedules.
* Maintain and strengthen internal controls to ensure the integrity of financial reporting and compliance with company policies.
* Support internal and external audit requests by preparing documentation and responding to inquiries.
* Collaborate with business partners and department leaders to provide financial insights and support operational decision-making.
* Generate and analyze daily, weekly, and monthly sales and operational reports.
* Identify and implement process improvements that increase efficiency, accuracy, and scalability within accounting operations.
* Support budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow analysis activities as needed.
* Mentor and provide guidance to junior accounting staff, assisting with training and knowledge sharing.
* Participate in special projects, system implementations, and process optimization initiatives as assigned.
*Skills:*

* 5+ years of progressive accounting experience
* Experience with *Sage Intacct*
* Familiarity with Accounts Payable processes
* Experience with Tableau/Python a plus
* Bachelors in Accounting, Finance or related field
* CPA NOT required but a huge plus

This is a Contract position based out of Philadelphia, PA.
*Pay and Benefits*The pay range for this position is $50.00 - $50.00/hr.
