Responsibilities

• Process and refill outpatient prescriptions under pharmacist supervision in a high-volume setting
• Verify patient information, insurance details, dosing instructions, and contraindications
• Stock and organize medications, prepare labels, and manage inventory and expired medication controls
• Enter prescription data into the pharmacy information system and support the dispensing workflow
• Assist pharmacists with medication safety checks, reconciliation, and patient education as needed
• Communicate with prescribers and patients to resolve questions and ensure accurate dispensing

Requirements

• Minimum 2+ years of experience as a pharmacy technician in a high-volume setting
• Certification preferred: CPHT or PTCB
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy; ability to follow standard operating procedures
• Able to work 8-hour shifts, 5 days per week; guaranteed 40 hours
• Local candidates preferred
• Ability to perform efficiently in a fast-paced outpatient environment
