Overview Pathology Assistant — Pathology position in Grand Forks, North Dakota, United States. Start date: 11/02/2026. This is a travel - temporary assignment lasting 13 weeks with guaranteed 40 hours per week. Shift: 8-hour days. Hospital setting with a focus on surgical specimen preparation, gross description, and support ofPathology services. One opening. Key Highlights Weekly pay: 3,358 to 3,411 per week Guaranteed hours: 40 hours per week Contract duration: 13 weeks Shift: 8-hour days Start date: 11/02/2026 Travel assignment in an acute care pathology department 1 opening Responsibilities Maintain accuracy of patient identification on all specimens processed for microscopic examination. Perform surgical specimen dissection on simple to complex cases and provide quality material for routine histology studies; obtain pathologist input for gross specimen analysis when appropriate. Conduct frozen sections and maintain cryostats; dictate complete and accurate gross descriptions. Communicate findings and results in a timely, professional manner with pathologists and providers. Ensure proper maintenance of equipment, supplies, and the cleanliness of the gross cutting area and morgue; dispose of tissues and reagents per procedures. Perform quality control and routine preventive maintenance; keep gross bench procedures manual current with CAP compliance review. Requirements Completion of NAACLS-accredited Pathologists’ Assistant Program ASCP certification or exam-ready with certification prior to start date Preferred: prior grossing experience Ability to perform duties under supervision of a pathologist and in an on-site hospital pathology setting Eligibility to work in the stated location and to participate in a travel assignment Benefits and Support Guaranteed hours: 40 per week 13-week assignment Travel-focused assignment with staffing support Professional onboarding and ongoing recruiter support throughout the assignment PAY DISCLAIMER RULE Please note: Pay rates and guaranteed hours are estimates and may vary.
