This position involves providing care for patients with diagnoses such as respiratory issues, weakness, urinary tract infections, acute kidney injury, and chest pain. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day of the assignment.

• Skills: Experience working in stepdown units, ability to manage patients with respiratory issues, weakness, UTI, AKI, chest pain
• RNs are required to titrate drips such as Heparin, Insulin, Cardizem, Amiodarone
• Common titratable and set rate drips: Heparin, Insulin, Cardizem, Amiodarone
• Shift: 12-hour days, 0700-1930, with rotations between eve and day shifts on weekends and a schedule of three weekend shifts every four weeks
• Schedules and notes: Weekend days include Friday, Saturday, Sunday or Saturday, Sunday, Monday; no call or standby required
• Float: Float rotation may be required
• Equipment: RT cPap, BiPap, high flow oxygen devices; RNs read strips monitor at designated location
• Orientation: Unit-specific
• Cancellation Policy: Client may cancel 2 shifts per 13-week assignment and 1 shift for shorter assignments
• Charting System: EPIC
• License to Submit: Yes
• Trauma Level: Not specified
• Required Certifications: ACLS, BLS (American Heart Association)
