How You Will Contribute You will be part of a team helping to resolve complex matters that threaten or disrupt normal operations. You will perform directed research, conduct financial, valuation, and/or damages analysis, and provide litigation support. Responsibilities Work on high‑profile and complex matters that incorporate valuation concepts and tools, including data analysis and valuation modelling. Work closely with Managing Directors, Senior Directors, Directors, and Managers to provide needed project support. Support complex accounting and valuation‑related matters and disputes (e.g., investigations, forensic accounting, damage calculations, solvency analysis, settlement models, post‑acquisition disputes, and general litigation support). Conduct research, synthesize information, and develop reports for high‑profile clients. Assist with researching technical and industry‑specific issues. Receive and act on constructive feedback. Develop and suggest solutions to complex problems by thinking “outside the box.” Present findings clearly to internal team members. Provide constructive 360‑degree feedback and create a learning environment. Foster an inclusive team environment built on trust, respect, and continuous improvement. Cultivate and maintain positive, productive, and professional relationships with colleagues. Communicate efficiently and effectively to all levels of the engagement team. Balance multiple client projects and responsibilities. Support internal development of valuation frameworks, modelling templates, and analysis tools. Qualifications 3 to 6 years of experience in valuation, public audit, and/or forensic and dispute consulting practice. Valuation certification such as ASA/MRICS (or equivalent) desired. CPA designation preferred. Knowledge of financial statement entry and analysis, KPI development and benchmarking, comparative analysis, and financial forecasting, including three‑statement modelling. Experience with complex valuation matters such as restructuring (e.g., solvency) and support conclusions for key assumptions. Demonstrated knowledge of valuation standards (fair market value, fair value, investment value, and liquidation value). Applied understanding of valuation approaches: market (guideline, transaction), income (DCF, capitalization of earnings), cost/asset, and premise of value (going concern, liquidation). Experience performing financial statement analysis using trend, common‑size, and ratio analyses. Experience with three‑statement financial modelling, scenario stress modelling, and building models from scratch. Ability to create discount rates using BUM, CAPM, and WACC. Practical knowledge of control premia/minority interest discounts, and NAV and DLOM development via OPM frameworks. Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel for extensive data analysis and valuation modelling. Prior practical or analytical experience in the real estate industry or exposure to real‑estate appraisal considered an asset. Proficiency with Microsoft Word and PowerPoint. Proficient in market intelligence platforms (S&P Capital IQ, Bloomberg, etc.). Excellent written and oral communication skills. Effective interpersonal and team‑management skills. High level of attention to detail and accuracy. Flexibility to maintain a flexible work schedule and hybrid arrangement (part‑time in office and remote). Willingness to travel. Demonstrated Management Skills Estimate time required for various project tasks and workstreams and deliver results. Execute and manage multiple workstreams. Develop and implement solutions to complex problems, thinking “outside the box.” Supervise, develop, and motivate staff by providing leadership, mentoring, performance feedback, and career guidance. Build internal and external relationships and assist with research for business development. Requirements Bachelor’s degree in accounting (preferred), finance, economics, or another business‑related field. Experience in accounting, auditing, and valuations gained at a Big 4 firm and/or independent consulting firm. Your Journey at A&M We prioritize your well‑being and professional development. The annual salary range for this position is $90,000 – $110,000, variable by education, experience, skills, and geography. A discretionary bonus program based on performance is also available.
