About the Role

We are seeking a Residential Real Estate Associate Attorney to join a growing and highly respected real estate law practice in Charlotte, NC. This is an excellent opportunity for an attorney with 2-3 years of residential real estate experience who enjoys working in a fast-paced, client-focused environment and is looking to further develop their real estate practice.

The ideal candidate will have experience managing residential real estate transactions, conducting closings, reviewing title work, resolving title issues, and providing exceptional service to clients, lenders, and real estate professionals.

Key Responsibilities

Conduct residential real estate closings for buyers, sellers, and lenders.

Review title searches, title commitments, and closing documents for legal sufficiency.

Identify and resolve title defects, liens, encumbrances, and other title curative issues.

Advise clients on residential real estate transactions and closing-related matters.

Coordinate with real estate agents, lenders, title companies, and other transaction stakeholders.

Prepare, review, and execute closing documentation.

Ensure compliance with applicable real estate laws and regulations.

Manage a high volume of transactions while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail.

Deliver outstanding client service throughout the transaction lifecycle.

Required Qualifications

Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Active North Carolina or South Carolina Bar License.

2-3 years of residential real estate law experience.

Experience conducting residential real estate closings.

Strong knowledge of title review, title examination, and title curative processes.

Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.

Client-focused approach with strong problem-solving abilities.

Notary Public or willingness to obtain prior to employment.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience handling high-volume residential real estate transactions.

Familiarity with lender requirements, settlement processes, and closing procedures.
