We’re always looking for great talent! *** JOB FAIR ONSITE - Wednesday, September 30, 2026 2pm - 6pm - 965 Dutchess Turnpike, Poughkeepsie *** Recreation Therapy Assistant - Full Time Assist in the planning, implementation, evaluation, and documentation of activities that meet the needs of the residents while also stimulating their physical and mental capabilities. Lead large and small group functions and visit residents on a one-to-one basis. Work with volunteers and community resource people and other duties as required. $16.80/hour. REQUIREMENTS Experience in a fast-paced Recreation setting. Minimum two years’ experience in short term rehab and geriatrics preferred Must have a friendly, caring, helpful manner and willingness/aptitude for working with people at all levels and in all departments Basic understanding of the needs of the elderly and those in need of long-term care and rehab services Basic knowledge of a variety of activities Demonstrates above average imagination, creativity, spirit of cooperation and friendly personality Visual, speech, and auditory acuity with or without adaptive devices Heavy lifting, pushing, pulling, other physical skills HS Diploma or GED required Available days, evenings, weekends, holidays The full time position is an 1199 union role.
