About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Step Down Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 2 years of nursing experience required License: RN State License and/or Compact State Licensure Certifications: BLS, ACLS required Must-Have: EPIC experience preferred Previous travel experience preferred Description: Traveler will primarily be working in a Med-Surg environment. Candidates must have step-down experience and skillsets. Shift 3x12 days; open to both 3x12s or 4x12s. Previous charge experience is required. Patient ratio experience should be 5:1. Candidates must be comfortable with telemetry monitoring. Interdisciplinary support includes physical therapy, respiratory services, and social services. Patient diagnoses may include joint replacements, fractures, post-op neurosurgery, strokes, and various medical-surgical conditions. Special equipment includes wound vacs, infusion pumps, and telemetry beds. The unit facilitates a diverse patient population, including adults and geriatrics. Preferred candidates will have experience with specific nursing skills such as blood product administration, phlebotomy, and IV management. Travelers must be at least 50 miles away from the facility’s location. Previous employees must have been separated for at least one year before returning as travelers.
