Job Summary and Qualifications The Float Medical Surgical/Acute Care Registered Nurse will provide and coordinate care for patients and collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary team members to provide physical and psychological support to patients and their families. Responsibilities Assess and reassess patients, develop individualized plans of care, and administer medications. Document care and educate patients and families. Maintain equipment and communicate patient needs. Perform patient rounds to maximize patient satisfaction and quality standards. Demonstrate knowledge of human growth and development, assessment, range of treatment, and care appropriate to patient ages. Promote customer service initiatives. Utilize nursing processes for individual care to meet patient needs. Perform technical skills and procedures as required. Qualifications Minimum of 1 year med/surg experience. Graduate of an accredited School of Professional Nursing. Current licensure by the Tennessee Board of Nursing or other acceptable Board of Nursing. Current BLS certification. Pursue and complete Med‑Surg certification within 1 year from date of hire. TriStar Skyline Medical Center is a 250+ bed facility.
