The Red & Black is seeking motivated, outgoing students to join our Advertising Sales Team. As a Sales Representative, you will work directly with local businesses to develop marketing partnerships using print, digital, and sponsored content solutions.

This is a hands-on role designed to build real-world sales, marketing, and communication skills in a fast-paced media environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Prospect and develop relationships with local Athens businesses
• Conduct outreach via email, phone, and in-person meetings
• Present advertising solutions across print, website, email, and social media
• Manage client accounts and maintain ongoing partnerships
• Meet weekly and monthly sales goals

Qualifications

• Current student at the University of Georgia
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Self-motivated with a competitive and goal-oriented mindset
• Comfortable with outreach (cold calls, emails, in-person visits)
• Organized and able to manage multiple clients
