Special Education Teacher – School-Based | 2026–2027 School Year

ProCare Therapy is seeking a dedicated Special Education Teacher for a school-based contract position.

Position Details:

Position: Special Education Teacher
School Year: 2026–2027
Location: Denmark, ME
Setting: Onsite
Start Date: August 31, 2026
- Candidates are encouraged to attend orientation and safety training August 24–28, 2026 (preferred but not required)
End Date: May 2027
Schedule:
- Full-Time: 33.75 hours per week
- Part-Time: Approximately 20 hours per week
Caseload: Kindergarten–4th Grade Special Education

Classroom & Caseload Information:

Average classroom size of 19 students
Supported by 2 Educational Technicians in the classroom
Student population primarily includes:
- Specific Learning Disabilities (SLD)
- Other Health Impairments (OHI)
No Emotional Disorders caseload

Qualifications:

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education or a related field
Active Maine Special Education teaching certification/licensure
Previous school-based experience preferred but not required
