Position Summary...

The (USA) Developmental Technician, Facility Services HVAC/R, supports the maintenance and repair of heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration systems across multiple facilities. This role involves completing required documentation, assisting with scopes of work, troubleshooting equipment issues, and performing preventive maintenance under supervision. The technician collaborates with management and team members to prioritize tasks, ensure regulatory compliance, and identify improvement opportunities. Commitment to safety, cost control, and effective communication is essential to support operational excellence and contribute to the reliable functioning of facility systems.

What You'll Do...

• Complete and submit required documentation such as expense vouchers, refrigerant logs, and work orders to senior leadership.
• Assist in gathering capital expenditure lists and develop scopes of work for HVAC/R and energy management system updates.
• Perform preventive maintenance, minor repairs, and troubleshooting on HVAC/R equipment under supervision.
• Collaborate with management, coworkers, and business partners to identify priorities, deadlines, and improvement opportunities.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA and EPA regulations by following safety policies and procedures.
• Manage company vehicles by coordinating maintenance, inspections, and documentation.
• Communicate progress effectively and adapt to feedback and changing work conditions.

What You'll Bring...

• Experience performing HVAC/R maintenance, repairs, and preventive services following established policies and safety guidelines.
• Ability to complete and submit required documentation, including work orders, refrigerant logs, and expense vouchers.
• Knowledge of Occupational Safety and Health Administration and Environmental Protection Agency regulations related to HVAC/R work.
• Skill in troubleshooting, diagnosing, and addressing HVAC/R equipment issues, including rooftop units and energy management systems.
• Capability to collaborate effectively with management, coworkers, customers, and business partners.
• Strong communication skills to report progress and recommend improvements.
• Adaptability to learn from feedback and manage multiple facility locations.

The hourly wage range for this position is $26.00 - $51.00* *The actual hourly rate will equal or exceed the required minimum wage applicable to the job location. Additional compensation in the form of premiums may be paid in amounts ranging from $0.35 per hour to $3.00 per hour in specific circumstances. Premiums may be based on schedule, facility, season, or specific work performed. Multiple premiums may apply if applicable criteria are met.

Minimum Qualifications...

Hold and maintain Universal or Type I and Type II Environmental Protection Agency certification for refrigerant handling. Valid state-issued driver's license and ability to pass a motor vehicle report. Option 1: 1 year's experience in plumbing, electrical, material handling equipment, or related area. Option 2: 2 years' Walmart store experience. 21 years of age or older. Ability to read and speak the English language as required by Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations.
