Opportunity:

RN - Labor and Delivery

Job Details:

• 13-week contract with an ASAP start date
• 12-hour day/night variable shifts
• Guaranteed 36 hours per week
• 2 weekends out of 4 required as needed, with holiday rotations every other holiday
• Primary placement in OB/Labor and Delivery unit with 2 labor rooms and 6 post-partum beds; Level 1 maternity/Level 1 nursery as well as post-op GYN patients
• May float to Med/Surg, ER, or ICU for non-patient assignment tasks (vital signs, answering lights, completing patient history); no isolation rooms
• May also be required to float to other locations in the Southern region as needed
• Nurses cover labor, post-partum, and newborn nursery care (not separate units); staffing follows AWHONN guidelines
• No on-call or back-up requirements; additional shifts may be available to pick up for sick calls
• Up to 36 hours of low census hours included in contract; travelers may be placed on call during low census periods
• Minimum 2 years of OB experience with Labor and Delivery experience required
• 1 prior travel assignment required
• Critical access hospital experience highly preferred
• EPIC charting experience required
• Labor and Delivery competency required
• Strong adaptability, resilience, assertiveness, and team-oriented mindset expected
• Required certifications: BLS, Advanced NRP, WI RN license; AWHONN and PALS preferred (AHA or ARC certifications required)
• Associate Degree or Certificate required; Bachelor's Degree preferred
• Scrub colors: any (provided if going into surgery)
• Will not accommodate more than 7 days of requested time off
