FUEL TRANSPORT/DELIVERY DRIVER

Fuel Transport/Delivery DriverSafely and on time, our drivers transport fuel from suppliers to where it's needed, keeping America's wheels rolling.Duties and Responsibilities:Pick up and deliver product to storage facility/customers in a safe, timely, and professional manner, ensuring the truck is operated in a safe manner at all timesFollow all guidelines and regulations for hauling petroleum productsMaintain logs with each shipment, completing daily invoices and reportsInspect trucks and trailers per DOT requirements (brakes, engine oil, water levels, lights, loading hoses, etc.). Complete maintenance report on all deficiencies.Report all accidents, traffic violations, and damage to vehicles.Complete daily maintenance report and notify supervisor of any needed repairs.Connect hoses between trailer and unloading/loading facility and monitor unloading/loading process to avoid spills and ensure that equipment is functioning properly.Manage all aspects of the load on truck and be responsible for all shortages and damagesMaintain cleanliness of truck both inside and out.Ensure on time loading and unloading and communicate with vendors/customers if delays occurProvide excellent customer service, treating all customers in a friendly and courteous mannerObserve company, federal, state and local policies, regulations and laws, and adhere to company safety policies at all timesBe available to load and/or unload your loads as neededMake out daily trip sheet and other paper work as requiredComplete any other duties or special projects as assignedSkills and Qualifications:Basic reading, writing and math skillsMaintain at all times Class A CDL with Hazmat, Tanker and Air Brake endorsementsTwo years of driving experience with OTR/FuelSuccessfully pass criminal,driving record screening, and DOT physical/drug testAbility to read, write and verbally communicate in EnglishLift, carry, push, pull items weighing up to 80 pounds, walk, stand, sit, bend and kneelAbility to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends and/or holidaysAge requirements may apply in order to remain in compliance with State and Federal lawsBenefits:Competitive wagesPaid Earned Personal LeaveHoliday Pay (for worked holidays)Options for single and family health coverageLife InsuranceFlexible Spending Account (for Unreimbursed Medical or Dependent Daycare Expenses)Employee DiscountUniformsI understand the statements in this job description are intended to represent the key duties, but are not intended to be ALL responsibilities or qualifications of the job.
