Senior Mechanical Estimator

We're seeking a Senior Mechanical Estimator in Central Valley, CA to support and grow commercial mechanical operations across the region.

Win profitable work by producing accurate, competitive estimates.

Identify scope gaps before bid day to protect margin.

Partner with operations to set projects up for success at handoff.

Build strong relationships with GCs, engineers, and vendors.

Responsibilities

Perform quantity takeoffs in Bluebeam for HVAC, piping, or plumbing scopes.

Solicit and level vendor and subcontractor quotes.

Build labor, material, equipment, and subcontract estimates.

Review drawings and specs for scope clarity and risk.

Prepare bid proposals, exclusions, and qualifications.

Attend pre-bid walks and post-bid scope reviews.

Hand off awarded projects with clean buyout packages.

Track hit rates and refine estimating standards.

Requirements

Must-Haves

5+ years estimating commercial mechanical construction.

Bluebeam and estimating software (Trimble, FastPIPE, or equivalent).

Strong reading of drawings, specs, and addenda.

Knowledge of design-build, GMP, and hard-bid delivery.

Nice-to-Haves

Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or Mechanical Engineering.

OSHA 30.

Healthcare, life science, or data center experience.
