Position Overview Our Client is seeking an experienced Residential HVAC Lead Installer to lead residential HVAC installation projects from rough-in through final startup. The ideal candidate will have strong installation expertise, leadership skills, and experience working on residential new construction and retrofit projects while ensuring high-quality workmanship, safety compliance, and customer satisfaction.

Position Overview Our Client is seeking an experienced Residential HVAC Lead Installer to lead residential HVAC installation projects from rough-in through final startup. The ideal candidate will have strong installation expertise, leadership skills, and experience working on residential new construction and retrofit projects while ensuring high-quality workmanship, safety compliance, and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead residential HVAC installations from rough-in to final startup.
- Install furnaces, air conditioners, heat pumps, air handlers, and mini-split systems.
- Perform change-outs, system replacements, and new construction installations.
- Install ductwork, line sets, condensate drains, ventilation systems, and related components.
- Read and interpret blueprints, mechanical drawings, and installation layouts.
- Ensure all work complies with local building codes, manufacturer specifications, and company standards.
- Test, start up, and verify proper system operation, airflow, and performance.
- Coordinate with builders, project managers, inspectors, and homeowners.
- Supervise and mentor installation helpers and junior technicians.
- Complete installation documentation, checklists, and job reports accurately.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized job site.
- Follow all company safety procedures and PPE requirements.
- 3+ years of residential HVAC installation experience.
- Experience leading installation crews or working as a Lead Installer.
- Strong knowledge of residential HVAC systems and installation methods.
- Ability to read blueprints, layouts, and technical drawings.
- EPA Section 608 Certification (or willingness to obtain; company-sponsored).
- Valid driver's license with clean driving record.
- Ability to lift 50-75 lbs and work in attics, crawlspaces, rooftops, and outdoor environments.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
- New construction HVAC experience.
- Experience with heat pumps and high-efficiency HVAC systems.
- Basic electrical troubleshooting knowledge.
- Gas piping experience.
- Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
