SAP Basis Administrator

Job Description

ProspectBlue has partnered with a client in Richmond, VA that is seeking an experienced SAP Basis Administrator (S/4HANA - RISE) to join their team.

This role is responsible for managing, optimizing, and supporting SAP systems within a RISE with SAP environment, with a strong focus on system stability, performance, and cross-functional coordination with SAP and cloud infrastructure teams.

What you'll do:
• Administer SAP S/4HANA systems in a RISE environment
• Partner with SAP RISE operations on upgrades, patches, and incidents
• Monitor system performance, availability, and capacity
• Manage transports, system refreshes, and change control processes
• Perform SAP HANA database administration and tuning
• Review and apply SAP OSS notes and security updates
• Troubleshoot issues across application, database, OS, and network layers
• Support SAP BTP and third-party integrations
• Maintain SAP Cloud ALM or Solution Manager
• Develop technical documentation and runbooks
• Provide on-call and production support as needed

What we're looking for:
• 5+ years of SAP Basis administration experience
• Hands-on experience with S/4HANA and HANA databases
• Experience supporting RISE or other cloud-hosted SAP environments
• Knowledge of CTS+, ChaRM, and transport management
• Strong troubleshooting and communication skills

Nice to have:
• SAP Basis or HANA certification
• Experience with SUM/DMO and S/4HANA migrations
• Familiarity with automation/scripting
• Exposure to SAP BTP and integrations

Education:

Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience)
