Coverage Area: Fort Wayne, Auburn, Columbia City, Huntington, Kendallville, LaGrange, Warsaw, and Wabash, IN. Will receive compensation for mileage.

Schedule: Flexible 8 hour shifts available between 6:00 AM and 7:00 PM

Description

The Patient Access Representative serves as the primary point of contact for patients and customers, delivering exceptional service and support throughout the healthcare experience. This float position provides coverage across multiple locations based on business needs and staffing demands. The ideal candidate is adaptable, customer-focused, and comfortable working in a variety of clinic and patient service environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Travel between Fort Wayne, Auburn, Columbia City, Huntington, Kendallville, LaGrange, Warsaw, and Wabash locations as needed to provide staffing coverage.
• Serve as a liaison between patients, healthcare providers, and internal departments.
• Respond to patient and customer inquiries via phone, email, and other communication channels.
• Deliver professional, courteous, and accurate customer service at all times.
• Gather, verify, and update patient demographic and insurance information.
• Educate patients on services, procedures, and next steps.
• Research and resolve customer concerns utilizing multiple computer systems and databases.
• Communicate test results, appointment information, and service updates according to established procedures.
• Review documentation for accuracy and escalate discrepancies when identified.
• Maintain patient records and documentation in compliance with HIPAA and organizational standards.
• Support administrative and record-management functions at multiple locations as assigned

Qualifications

• 1+ year of medical office experience
• High School Diploma
• Face to face customer service or reception experience
• Reliable transportation and ability to travel regularly between Fort Wayne, Auburn, Columbia City, Huntington, Kendallville, LaGrange, Warsaw, and Wabash locations.
• Flexibility to work varying shifts between 6:00 AM and 7:00 PM based on business needs.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Fort Wayne, IN.

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $22.00/hr.

This is a fully onsite position in Fort Wayne, IN.
