The Restaurant Host is the first impression of the dining experience, creating a warm welcome and setting the stage for exceptional hospitality. Like the opening act of a memorable performance, this role ensures every guest feels valued from the moment they arrive while coordinating seamless seating and communication with the restaurant team.

Restaurant hosts are often the first smiling faces the guests see when arriving at the restaurant. Responsible for ensuring quick, engaging, and effective communication with guests, the restaurant host plays a critical role in overall guest satisfaction. Restaurant hosts must maintain communication with restaurant management and servers and seat guests according to preferences and restaurant capability.

Set up the restaurant and/or lounge area for service.

Stock all areas with necessary items, equipment, and tools, and manage stock throughout the shift.

Provide each guest with an individualized greeting using charisma and stylized communication.

Purposefully navigates and seats each guest for individual requests.

Warmly accept telephone calls consistent with brand standards, thoughtfully listen to each guest inquiry, and provide accurate information or assistance.

Maintain cleanliness of restaurant spaces to be inviting and accommodating.

Effectively communicate with restaurant staff and management to ensure quality guest experiences and smooth restaurant operation.

Complete additional duties as assigned.

Utilize effective verbal and written communication skills.

Speak, read, and write in primary language(s) used in the workplace.

Stand and walk constantly throughout the workday.

Reach, bend, stoop, and pivot frequently throughout the workday.
