The Game Technician role supports this experience by maintaining and troubleshooting the unique game systems to ensure safe, reliable, and enjoyable play for guests. Position Summary The Game Technician is responsible for maintaining the functionality of the game technology, diagnosing mechanical and electronic issues, performing repairs, and reporting accurately. This role works closely with the venue team to resolve technical problems promptly, contributing to a positive atmosphere and guest experience. Key Responsibilities Troubleshoot and repair game and course electronics, mechanics, and software. Inspect, maintain, and service hardware components, wiring, and circuits. Read and interpret schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical documentation. Use hand tools and small power tools for repairs. Coordinate with management, peers, and guests for issue resolution. Document and report incidents, maintenance logs, and corrective actions. Ensure adherence to safety and operational standards. Required Qualifications At least 2 years of technical support or maintenance experience. Proficiency with computer systems, technologies, and PC hardware installations. Ability to learn unique software and hardware systems that support the game. Familiarity with technical documentation; ability to read schematics and wiring diagrams. Knowledge of electronic circuitry and testing equipment. Practical experience with electronics and mechanics. Use of hand tools and small power tools. Guest‑focused mindset and an exceptional customer service attitude. Excellent communication skills with management, peers, and guests. Strong problem‑solving skills and multitasking ability. Flexible to work varied schedules, including days, nights, holidays, and weekends; ability to stand, walk, and lift up to 30 pounds. Pass a post‑offer background check. Preferred Skills Experience in technical support and maintenance within gaming or entertainment environments. Advanced problem‑solving skills at the component level for complex issues. Experience with small electronic and mechanical repairs. Knowledge of Ethernet data infrastructure. Ability to solder. Basic understanding of electromechanical devices such as linear actuators and conveyor systems. Physical Demands Work in a noisy, fast‑paced environment with distracting conditions. Move around the facility and stand for long periods. Frequently kneel, stoop, bend, and twist. Read and write handwritten notes. Lift and carry up to 30 pounds. Navigate confined and crowded spaces with variable noise and temperature. Use hand dexterity for small tools and fine‑tune components.
