Senior Software Engineer - US Risk Technology

Role Overview We’re building a relationship‑oriented bank for the modern world. As a Senior Software Engineer on the US Risk Technology team, you’ll serve as a technology partner for US risk management, working on challenging projects that span the full software development life cycle. Responsibilities Create ETL jobs in Databricks. Build workflow automation solutions using Microsoft Power Platform. Develop data flows with Azure Data Lake Storage and set up a DevOps environment. Implement solutions in AML Tech and Databricks to support risk management business. Document each step of the delivery life cycle on wiki and ServiceNow. Write secure code following industry best practices and incorporate DevSecOps into the workflow. How You’ll Succeed Technical Skills: SQL, Databricks, Python, Microsoft Power Platform, Azure App Services. Cloud Computing: Azure services, machine learning exposure; AZ‑900 certification is an asset. Documentation: Experience with wiki and ServiceNow documentation. DevSecOps: Write secure code and integrate security practices. Communication: Write clearly and communicate technical concepts to non‑technical audiences. Collaboration: Build trusted relationships with stakeholders, partners, and vendors. Business Savvy: Apply knowledge of banking and risk management. Continuous Learning: Keep up‑to‑date with emerging technologies and regulatory developments. Qualifications 5–7 years of software engineering experience and a relevant post‑secondary degree. Proficiency in Python; hands‑on experience with Databricks platform for ETL. Strong SQL query writing skills; experience with PySpark or Spark SQL on Azure is valuable. Experience with database, cloud computing, or application development/support. Experience with C#/.NET or PowerApps is a plus. Understanding of banking fundamentals and exposure to risk management, capital stress testing, credit risk models, and regulatory compliance are desirable. Comfortable working in a hybrid environment (2 days onsite, others remote). Benefits and Compensation Salary range: $120,000–$140,000 (Chicago market). Possibility to participate in incentive compensation and discretionary bonus.
