About the Role

The Company is seeking a VP of Operations to lead and optimize all operational activities across machining, composites, and complex assembly. The successful candidate will be responsible for driving on-time, on-budget delivery, and positioning the company for scalable, profitable growth. This role involves owning daily operations, including capacity planning, production scheduling, and resource allocation, and driving efficiency and cost competitiveness through Lean, Six Sigma, and advanced manufacturing practices. The VP of Operations will also be tasked with maintaining quality and compliance with industry standards, leading modernization efforts, and building and mentoring the operations leadership team. Candidates for the VP of Operations position at the company should have a BS in engineering, manufacturing, or operations management, with an MBA or advanced degree preferred. A background in a relevant manufacturing environment, particularly with machine shop experience, is essential. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in low-volume, high-mix production leadership, deep knowledge of industry-specific requirements, and expertise in Lean/Six Sigma methodologies. Experience in areas such as materials management, production automation, and MRP/Capacity Planning certification is also valued. The role requires a leader who can drive accountability through KPIs, develop future leaders, and ensure the company's operations are at the forefront of industry standards and practices.
