As we continue to grow, we are seeking a hands-on leader to support warehouse operations & drive performance in a fast-paced distribution environment. Position Summary The Assistant Warehouse Manager is responsible for overseeing daily warehouse operations, ensuring efficient product flow, inventory accuracy, team productivity, & adherence to safety standards. This role supports the Warehouse Manager in executing operations across receiving, put-away, replenishment, order picking, & shipping while maintaining a strong focus on labor efficiency, operational performance, & continuous improvement. The ideal candidate is a proactive, detail-oriented leader with experience in high-volume warehouse environments who can effectively manage teams, optimize workflows, resolve operational challenges, & drive accountability across the warehouse. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business, or related field preferred 2-5 years of experience in warehouse operations, distribution, or logistics Prior leadership or supervisory experience in a warehouse environment Strong understanding of inventory control, receiving, put-away, replenishment, picking, & shipping processes Proficiency in Microsoft Excel & warehouse management systems (WMS) Strong communication, leadership, & problem-solving skills Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume warehouse environment Key Responsibilities Warehouse Operations Management Oversee daily warehouse activities, including receiving, put-away, replenishment, order picking, & shipping Ensure efficient workflow & proper labor allocation to meet productivity & throughput targets Monitor warehouse operations to ensure timely movement of product & minimize bottlenecks Support the execution of operational plans to meet service level & performance expectations Identify operational challenges & implement solutions to improve efficiency & productivity Team Leadership & Development Supervise, coach, & develop warehouse associates to promote high performance & accountability Establish clear expectations & monitor employee performance against operational standards Assist with staffing, scheduling, training, & performance management Foster a culture of safety, teamwork, accountability, & continuous improvement Provide guidance & support to employees to address performance or operational concerns Inventory Control & Accuracy Support inventory management processes, including cycle counts, audits, & discrepancy resolution Ensure accurate product handling, storage, & system transactions within the WMS Identify & resolve inventory variances, damages, & process gaps Partner with warehouse & inventory leadership to improve inventory accuracy & reduce shrink Ensure proper product rotation, storage, labeling, & organization throughout the facility Safety & Compliance Maintain a safe working environment by enforcing OSHA standards & company safety protocols Conduct regular safety checks & ensure proper use of warehouse equipment, including forklifts & pallet jacks Investigate incidents & assist with implementing corrective actions to prevent recurrence Ensure employees follow established safety procedures & operational guidelines Promote a proactive safety culture throughout the warehouse Operational Performance & Analytics Track & analyze key performance indicators (KPIs), including productivity, order accuracy, inventory accuracy, & labor efficiency Identify opportunities to improve warehouse processes, reduce costs, & increase throughputMonitor labor utilization & operational performance to identify trends & areas for improvement Support reporting on warehouse performance & operational metrics Assist in implementing process improvements, standard operating procedures, & best practices Cross-Functional Coordination Collaborate with receiving, inventory control, transportation, & other operational teams to ensure smooth product flow Communicate operational priorities, challenges, & performance updates to warehouse leadership Partner with maintenance & facilities teams to address equipment, facility, & operational issues Support coordination between warehouse functions to maintain efficient end-to-end operations Skills & Competencies Strong leadership & team management skills Knowledge of warehouse operations, inventory control, & distribution processes Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret operational data & identify trends Proficiency in warehouse management systems & Microsoft Excel Strong organizational, communication, & problem-solving abilities Ability to motivate teams & hold employees accountable to performance standards Commitment to safety, efficiency, accuracy, & continuous improvement Work Environment Warehouse-based role with extended time on the warehouse floor Fast-paced, high-volume distribution environment Requires standing, walking, bending, & occasional lifting Regular use of warehouse equipment & machinery May require overtime based on business needs Compensation & Benefits Competitive salary commensurate with experience Comprehensive benefits package Health, Dental & Vision Insurance Company-matched 401(k) Vacation, Personal & Sick Time Job Ref #: 51e6abe4-f74f-45ed-aee2-1ae98cd5b37b Date Posted: 2026-07-02 #J-18808-Ljbffr Jetro Restaurant Depot
