Location and Schedule Job Location: Baltimore, MD, 21244 Schedule: Saturday-Sunday (2 Shifts per Day) Shift 1: Morning Shift – 6:00 AM – 6:00 PM Shift 2: Evening Shift – 6:00 PM – 6:00 AM About Us Helpful Hearts Health Services Inc. is dedicated to empowering individuals with developmental disabilities to lead fulfilling lives through independence, community integration, and meaningful connections. Job Overview We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Direct Support Professional (DSP) to provide Community Development Services (CDS) and Residential Services. In this role, you will support individuals in engaging with their communities, developing essential life skills, personal care, and achieving personal goals in a structured and person-centered manner. Responsibilities Assisting with personal hygiene care (bathing, grooming, dressing) Administering medication Feeding and preparing meals Performing cleaning and light house chores Facilitate community-based activities that promote independence and social engagement Support individuals in developing communication, self-advocacy, employment readiness, and independent living skills Encourage and assist with volunteering, social groups, and recreational activities Implement individualized service plans (ISPs) to help individuals reach their goals Provide transportation to and from community activities as needed Ensure the safety, dignity, and well-being of all individuals supported Maintain accurate documentation and progress notes Requirements High school diploma or equivalent (some college coursework in human services is a plus) At least 1 year of experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record Ability to pass a background check and meet pre-employment requirements CPR/First Aid certification, CMT, Mandt Training Strong communication and interpersonal skills Must be patient, reliable, and passionate about making a difference Why Join Us?
