Physician

The Diagnostic Radiologist in Neuroradiology is responsible for supervising and interpreting imaging studies (Ultrasound, CT Scan, MRI, Diagnostic Radiology, etc.). Produces a thorough thought out report of the findings of the examinations based on his/her education and experience and evidence-based medicine. Communicates and documents Radiologist to Physician discussion of any critical or significant findings. Provides consultative services to referring physicians. Performs educational or peer review activities provided by the Chair of the Department of Radiology. Performs daily and weekend coverages as assigned by the department.

• Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (D.O.)
• Completion of residency/fellowship training in Radiology/Neuroradiology and certified by the American Board of Medical Specialties (ABMS)
• Relevant work experience in Radiology
• New York State Licensed Physician
• New York Department of Health Certification of Qualification
• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Radiology
• Certificate of Added Qualifications in related sub specialty
• Maintain active privileges with The Brooklyn Hospital Center
• Maintain credentials with participating health insurance plans and government plans.
• Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS)
• Excellent communication and management skills necessary to interact with medical staff, patients, visitors, and other hospital employees.
• Strong work ethic and desire to participate in a team-oriented, performance-driven organization.
