Overview
Speech Language Pathologist – Acute Care, travel assignment in Chambersburg, PA. Start date: 08/03/2026 for 13 weeks. Guaranteed hours: 35 per week. Weekly pay: $2,280–$2,401. Shift: 08:00–16:30 (day shift). Setting: Skilled Nursing Facility. This temporary position is with Healthforce Healthcare LLC and offers the opportunity to provide acute care–oriented speech-language pathology services within a multidisciplinary team.

Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive speech-language pathology evaluations for residents with communication, cognitive-communication, and swallowing concerns.
- Develop, implement, and monitor individualized treatment plans aligned with resident goals and evidence-based practice.
- Provide direct therapy to residents, including remediation, compensation, and support for safe-swallow strategies as appropriate.
- Document assessments, treatment plans, progress notes, and discharge planning in the electronic medical record; communicate findings to the interdisciplinary team.
- Collaborate with nursing, rehabilitation, dietetics, social work, and other professionals to support resident care and safe transitions.

Requirements
- Active Speech-Language Pathologist license in good standing (state-specific or as required).
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
- ASHA Certification (CCC-SLP) or eligibility for certification.
- Prior experience in SNF, long-term care, or acute care settings preferred.
- Ability to work a travel assignment and function effectively in a multidisciplinary care setting.
