The Job As a Sr. Infrastructure Engineer at Omnidian, you will drive core infrastructure execution and technical automation during a period of rapid global expansion. You will spend 60% of your time leading key IT infrastructure projects from technical setup to operational rollout, 20% partnering with Information Security on vulnerability remediation, and 20% providing Level 2+ technical escalation support for our asynchronous workforce across the US, Australia, and Latin America. You are an experienced, self‑directed professional who thrives on optimizing global configurations, minimizing system drift, and leveraging modern AI tools to eliminate manual overhead. What You’ll Do Project Administration & Core Ownership (60%) Lead the technical deployment and lifecycle management of core platforms (e.g., IDP, MDM, and ITAM tools) from setup to full rollout under general guidance. Act as the senior resource for the IT service desk, assisting team members with complex configurations and advanced troubleshooting. Manage and optimize SharePoint Online, ensuring site designs and permissions structures adhere to established corporate data‑governance baselines. Adapt and scale global infrastructure to accommodate rapid international expansion. Build and manage automated, zero‑touch deployment frameworks for a mixed‑OS fleet (Windows & Mac) using modern unified endpoint management tools. Security & Compliance (20%) Partner directly with the Information Security Team to remediate infrastructure vulnerabilities within SOC2 and ISO frameworks. Assist in the testing and technical maintenance of corporate Disaster Recovery (DR) and Business Continuity Plans (BCP). Establish and enforce configuration baselines for all managed workstations to eliminate configuration drift. Advanced Support & Operations (20%) Provide high‑level technical support for complex hardware, network, and cloud software issues that exceed standard service desk capabilities. Deploy and fine‑tune infrastructure monitoring tools to proactively track global system health and maintain situational awareness. Coordinate with SaaS and infrastructure vendors to resolve systemic bugs, manage API integrations, and provide deep technical administration for cloud services. Universal Methodology (Applied Across All Responsibilities) Follow ITIL frameworks for incident, request, and change management. Leverage generative AI tools to validate scripts, synthesize technical data, and author SOPs. Contribute to the team Knowledge Base, ensuring infrastructure configuration changes and workflows are documented. Who You Are Proven track record executing mid‑to‑large scale IT infrastructure projects on schedule. Analytical thinker with situational awareness of downstream impacts of configuration choices. Proactive problem solver who writes targeted scripts (PowerShell/Python) and proposes technical solutions. Clear communicator comfortable working across international time zones and collaborating with cross‑functional teams. Experience You’ll Need 4+ years in systems administration, infrastructure engineering, or advanced IT support roles within high‑growth environments. Strong proficiency in PowerShell and Python for automating user lifecycles. Experience administering cloud and endpoint management tools (e.g., Google Workspace, Azure, MDM platforms, SharePoint). Experience leveraging AI platforms (Gemini, Claude AI) for troubleshooting and documentation. ITIL 4 Foundation certification preferred; practical application of ITIL frameworks highly preferred. Success Metrics (KPIs) Complete most assigned infrastructure and engineering milestones on schedule. Execute technical tasks for critical security findings within compliance windows.
