This 200-bed facility provides comprehensive inpatient pediatric and nursery services with established protocols to support quality patient care. The hospital maintains dedicated systems and equipment to manage both routine pediatric cases and higher-acuity situations requiring immediate clinical intervention. The facility operates with a structured coverage model designed to ensure continuous availability for inpatient and call responsibilities.

Alabama offers a range of attractions for visitors and clinicians on assignment. Points of interest include the USS Alabama Battleship Memorial Park, the Barber Vintage Motorsports Museum, and the US Space and Rocket Center. The state also features natural parks, wildlife tours, the Unclaimed Baggage Center, and coastal experiences along the Gulf Shore, including dolphin cruises and parasailing in Orange Beach.

The pediatric hospitalist will conduct rounds on pediatric inpatients and nursery patients during 24-hour shifts, then provide night call coverage from the hotel. The clinician will manage a caseload of 3-6 pediatric patients and 6-9 nursery patients, performing procedures including high risk deliveries and C-sections as required. Board certification in pediatrics is required for this assignment. The position involves continuous availability for call responsibilities throughout the coverage period.
